Staff are very welcoming and friendly, Tomas (owner) went out of his way to help us secure tickets for the Vatican as we had not pre booked which meant we wouldn’t have been able to go, the trip was guided by a tour guide called Monica who was brilliant. Breakfast is served to you it’s a mixture of pastries, yoghurt and grilled sandwiches along with coffees and juice. Rooms are clean, functional and modern. Beds are soft but still comfortable, pillows are nice, walls are thin and you can hear conversations from other guests and also due to proximity of rooms 102/103 & 104 you will hear reception and also breakfast room noise clearly although this wasn’t a massive issue to us. Police sirens in Rome are constant regardless of where you are, hotel is just off of a main road but traffic noise not an issue. Very good location, 10 minutes from San Pietro train station and bus stop across the road from the hotel and within 15 minutes you are in the centre of everything, all main sights are fairly close together. We didn’t realise how close we were to Vatican City and as you come out of San Pietro station if you look to your right you will see the dome of the church! We missed it totally the first time! Tips: Take charger bank with you… EACH! You will need it, Google maps is your best friend but absolutely drains your battery and as you are using your phone constantly for photos etc your battery will die, there are people (looky looky men) selling these banks literally everywhere but doubt they’ll work for longer than 5 minutes! Buy tickets in advance as queues are insane! Save money and catch train from FCO to the hotel. It costs 8 euros each, buy the ticket at the airport train station you go from FCO to Travestere then change platforms and go 1 stop to San Pietro then it’s 10 min walk to hotel, on return you buy your ticket at San Pietro. Nice restaurant not far from hotel called Hostaria Pizzeria, restaurants are half the price near the hotel than the ones in the actual centre and food is far more tastier and authentic! Wear comfortable clothing and shoes as you will do roughly 20,000 steps a day. There are a lot of homeless people and beggars but they leave you alone fairly quickly. Buses are very easy to use, you get on and tap your card as you do in London Vatican City absolutely requires a guided tour you learn so much! Pantheon absolutely needs a ticket brought in advance Trevi fountain is packed regardless of time but it isn’t unbearable and weirdly you get your turn for your pictures etc it’s not an issue Colosseum - we didn’t go in so cannot comment we just see it from the outside Castle Sant Angelo - we didn’t go in we sat in the gardens surrounding it and spent some time there We also visited Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi which is a fountain in the Piazza Navona (Angels & Demons - Dan Brown fans will know about this) I would return to this hotel, it was clean and modern and the owners Tomas & Massimo along with their niece were so helpful and welcoming. If I had to make any suggestion it would be that a welcome drink is offered on arrival soft drink or a coffee and some water be provided in the room, we were very thirsty and had been travelling a long time, it would have been lovely to sit for a moment to catch your breath and thoughts with a drink or a water before having to go back out to look for a supermarket but that is my only comment/suggestion.

I think this is genuinely the BEST BnB we have ever stayed in. Tomasso, Rosanna and Sarah are fabulous. They are extremely welcoming, ever so helpful and friendly and really do enjoy going above and beyond for you. From the point of contact before travelling, helping to arrange transportation from the airport and making sure that you want for nothing, our entire experience has been a delight. It was my birthday while we were there and to my absolute delightful surprise, they brought me out balloons, pom-poms and a bottle of Prosecco at breakfast for me. The tea is good, coffee was superb and continental breakfast was lovely. The room was really nice and very clean. They also arranged transportation back to the airport and the driver was telling us all about how they are a whole family team. That’s so lovely to hear. The passion for their business speaks volumes. It’s about a 30 minute walk from the centre of town and the bus stop is directly outside with great links all over. The street outside is really quiet too so no issues with sleeping at night. This trip I travelled in March with my Mum as a birthday surprise for her 70th back in January , it just so happened to be my birthday while we were there (I share a birthday with Michelangelo!). Whenever I return to Rome probably with my Husband next time, we’ll definitely be looking to book here. Thank you so much to Tomasso, Rosanna and Sarah for the wonderful hospitality.

The staff are helpful but the room was very cold until we left the heating on all day, The room was tired and needs decorating. The breakfast was extremely basic. The distance from central Rome was not a problem as the bus outside was regular and reasonable. The reviews lead us to believe the accommodation would be good quality and it left us disappointed

Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 nights, absolutely gorgeous hotel with the most helpful friendly staff! Beautiful bedrooms, lovely small intimate dining area with great breakfast! Staff are English speaking which is very helpful and were always happy to help with any questions we had. I would highly recommend staying here.

The Casa Tua Vaticano guest house was great! The room was modern and clean & staff were very friendly. The location has restaurants and shops right next to it and is only a short walk to Vatican City. There’s good local transport links, however we decided to walk to the main part of the city (Trevi Fountain) which was only about a 35 minute walk which was nice as we seen a lot of interesting places on the way!
